Heated Driveway & Front Yard Renovation in Toronto
A homeowner in central Toronto hired our team to install a glycol heating system and completely resurface the front yard using a combination of natural stone, interlocking pavers and armour stone.
The main challenge of this project was an inverted driveway, one that slopes down towards the house. This type of driveway requires careful water drainage management to keep water from flowing into the home.
We started by demolishing and removing the existing surfaces. Then our team prepared the base and formed the new porch, landings, steps and driveway, and built armour stone walls. Once the heating system was installed and reinforced concrete was poured, we clad the surfaces with natural stone and pavers.
To finish the project, we added LED landscape lighting to highlight the shapes and elevations of the front yard, and installed railings for safety.
